Evaluating your skin is a crucial first step - Asseni

Evaluating your skin is a crucial first step

It is very important to record your starting point so you can map your progress and journey in reducing cellulite. It is all about making progress and seeing changes.

This begins with assessing any cellulite problematic areas.

Fig 3 below which shows photos and texture comparisons for cellulite Grade 2-4 provided by Anna Rossi [2] and are an example of how to evaluate skin texture.

How to make ‘before' photos

1. Position your camera at the right level, or ask someone to take the photos (from of your waist to kneecap) to fill out the table below.

2. Based on the photos, choose a part of your leg (ideally the thigh) and squeeze it and photograph it too.

3. Write down what you see and feel based on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is subtle and 10 is the most severe cellulite.

Congratulations, now you know your starting point and can track your results!

Use the table below to compare your progress.
